Last time we saw a counter-revolution against Jan von Leiden and his polygamy policy collapse,

as its leader, Henry Mollenheck, failed to plan adequately for his uprising.

With Mollenhek and his counter-revolutionaries now all executed, and with Yarn von

Leiden securely back in the driver's seat, what happened next?

Well, the new policy of polygamy was given full reign,

causing chaos and debauchery. As one chronicler puts it, and I quote,

we must draw a veil over what took place, for we should scandalise our readers, were we to relate

in detail the outrageous scenes of immorality which took place in the town, and the villainies

which these maniacs committed to satisfy their abominable lusts. They were no more human beings. They were foul and

furious beasts, end quote. To give you an idea about what took place, Jan von Leiden ended up with

16 wives, with the prophet's widow DeVara being allocated the status of first wife,

able to rule over the other 15 women accumulated by Jan von Leiden.
