Welcome to episode 33 of real cool history for kids.

In our last month's episodes, we visited the Middle Ages.

This time period situated between the fall of Rome and the exploration period contains

a lot of interesting stories and complicated plot twists.

In those episodes, we met King Richard the Lionheart and his younger brother John Blacklin.

In our last episode, we learned about an event that took place during the Second World War

in the 1940s.

We met Winston Churchill, the man who stood firm against the wave of the government

and army of the Nazi regime run by Adolf Hitler.

We visited Winston Churchill's war rooms, which were located deep under the ground in

the city of London.

It was in these rooms that Churchill and his advisors planned their war tactics that helped

defeat Hitler's armies.

We also visited the 22 miles of tunnels of an abandoned chalk mine that became the temporary

home of thousands of British families who took refuge in them as the Germans bombed

their city 100 feet above their heads.

In our episode today, we are going to connect the Middle Ages with the present and at the
