Genesis 20:5-6 example with Abimelech

The secret of our success is the integrity of our heart.

Integrity is the state of being whole and undivided. The opposite of integrity is dishonesty, deceit, and being divided.

David was a man after God’s heart. In that pursuit, David’s own heart looked more like the heart of God.

Jesus said “learn from me” and began to describe His heart; not His power, His skills, or His works, but His heart.

Pursue intimacy if you want to grow in integrity.

0:43.5	and he says to God, he says,

0:47.6	she is my sister? And
0:49.3	even she herself said,
0:51.4	he is my brother. In the
0:53.5	integrity of my heart and the innocence of my hands,
0:56.9	I have done this. And then in the next verse, Abimelech says, God said to Abimelech in a dream,
1:03.8	Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also withheld you from
1:10.6	sinning against me. Therefore I did not let you touch her.
1:15.5	I love this about this king. You know, there's a first law, law of first mention in the Bible,
1:23.1	where you can learn a lot about a topic by seeing where it was mentioned for the first time.
