I would like to talk to you about our desires.

In the scripture, it says that delight yourself in the Lord and he will fulfill the desires of your heart.

Or he shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37.4.

Many people are afraid of getting too close to God, fearing that he will kill any and every desire they have.

I know myself, I used to be like that, especially when I was single, and at the time, you know,

read books on martyr, martyrs or books on people who got too close to God.

And he asked them to give up their desire to get married and become, you know,

celibus and become single for the rest of their life for the purpose of spreading the gospel.

And I had this fear, you know, not to get too close to God because you never know.

You know, he might take your desires and just make you into like spiritual monk

and make you live somewhere you don't want to live.

And, you know, you will endure all of that because, of course, you know,

it's a joy to bury the cross and to carry whatever affliction that comes with serving God.

And a story in Book of Genesis, I shared that in my single Ready to Mingle book,

where God comes to Adam and tells Adam that it's not good for him to be alone.

You know, and it was like a revelation that came to me that it wasn't Adam that came to God and told God, hey, I'm alone. You know, and it was like a revelation that came to me that it wasn't Adam that came to

God and told God, hey, I'm alone. Can you get me a wife? I'm kind of bored here. Lord, you know,

animals and just foods and fruits and, you know, running around butt naked everywhere, but, you know,

like, can I do something else? You know, no TV, no radio, no newspaper.

Can you give me somebody else that I can hang out with?
