My guest on today's podcast is my friend Brian Bagley.

It's great to be here.

We're going to talk about Brian's book. The title of

Brian's book is Building Faith, Like the Brother of Jared. And I've read some of this book,

and it's a wonderful book about the inside of the life of the brother of Jared. And what we're

going to do is we're going to spend maybe the first 10 minutes of the podcast

having Brian share his story to write a book. He is a first time author. Some of you may be

wondering if you should write a book someday. And Brian acted on his impressions and now has a published

book. He'll talk about where it's available. But I thought it would be good

for you listeners to hear Brian's story of why he decided to write this book and kind of follow

that dream. But most of the podcast, maybe the last 40 minutes, will be Brian, though I consider

now an expert, he may not like that, but I consider him an expert on the brother of Jared and

the things that I've read,

the things we've visited before the podcast are wonderful insights about this prophet leader and the things that he went through that applied to us today. And I think some of the things

that Brian share will be helpful, we offered a prayer, and that's our prayer, that those things that Brian shares today

and in this book that we hope that you buy and read will help you in your personal journeys

to come into Christ, to be a member, and to stay a member of the church, and to connect better

with the Book of Mormon in general and the brother of Jared's story in particular.
