Summary

Today we are speaking with Laura Espinosa again, but this time about vibrio in the Baltic sea. 

While vibrio may not be so common, indeed, you may be entirely unfamiliar with it, there has been an increased observance of it in the summer months. Laura explains what ECDC does to keep an eye on this particular and peculiar bacteria.

Yes, I'm really glad to be here again.

So I'm an expert in the Epidemic Intelligence team.

I have different projects, some of them dealing with the implementation of artificial

intelligence in our processes, and part of dealing with the implementation of artificial intelligence

in our processes.

And part of that is the pituitter tool that you mentioned from the previous episode.

And then also to support the different activities we do in threat monitoring.

One of those is the monitoring of the environmental suitability of Vibrio in the Baltic Sea.
