Well Andrew, here we are standing at the on ramp to South 63 in Denver, Iowa. We

are about 12 miles from Waterloo, which is our destination for the day. We did

not make it all the way there because of some scheduling conflicts that were

our fault. So now we're going to actually do this. We're really going to put our

thumbs out and see if somebody picks us up. How optimistic do you feel at this

moment at this will work? Honestly, we're on a road that is a state route. I feel

much better about this than standing on the entrance of a freeway. Why? Something

about a freeway just seems so. It's like a difference of one lane. Like this is

really fast and and two lanes and a freeway would be really fast in three lanes.

This just feels nice and rural and like somebody might be coming along who

would actually maybe stop for us. There was your first thumbs out. Luke just

tried it for the first time as thumb out a minivan that looks like a Chrysler

minivan took a pass on us. And the lady looked at me like are you crazy? Did you

get that? Even though I tried to give her my best non-threatening grimace. Like hey

is this a thing? We have to work out some like code language really quick, which

is if somebody pulls up and one of us has a bad feeling about getting in that

vehicle. What do we say to them to get out of like how do we not get in the car?

We just say digs town. But we know we have to skip that. Like we put our thumbs out.

A guy pulls over with like a creepy van from the movie duel so all the windows

are smudged with grease and he says get in. What do we say to him? Do you know where

digs town is? We're trying to get to digs town? Yeah. You know that's we'll

play some more voicemails later on in the show but I mean that is from some
