Hey everybody, welcome to the show, coming to you today from Glendale, Arizona, and Casa de Centro, commercial, Mahistique.

Also known as House of Majestic Shopping Center. We are here for spring training. We are in the guest house behind a gigantic crumbling mansion that is located in the dental district.

I'm Glendale, Arizona. We are surrounded by strip malls and high traffic highways and sunshine and zero-scape landscaping.

And we couldn't be happier to be here. It's episode 2,345 in a collector series. My name is Luke Burbank. I am your host.

And just across this beautiful kitchen table for me is my good friend known for his drawings of tall ships, their grace and splendor, and his ability to stay cool even in the heat, which is why he's going to do great down here in Arizona.

This is technically the vape pen district, I believe, or they call it the vaping district of Glendale, Arizona.

We'll see you have a vehicle, a Yaris, not to brag. More on that later. So you've actually been able to drive around and really see the sort of surroundings.

Carrie and I got in at about one in the morning. We were dropped off by a lift with what could only be called dodgy suspension. Sorry, lift.

And it was the middle of the night. And I have to say that when we got dropped off, I was impressed with how grandiose the front house is.

It's large and in charge and has fountains in the front of it. And I was feeling pretty good about things. And then this morning when we got up and we started to kind of explore a little bit, we realized that this is basically the Arizona version of sunset boulevard.

Yo, yeah, it's just that explains the body in the pool. Yes, I don't really want to get into that right now, but I will tell you what I'm ready for my close-up.

It's just like the fountains, the beautiful fountains in front, like all the tiles have fallen off.

We don't need anybody else, loopholes. We don't need any, but just you and me.

There's a basketball hoop with no net on it, which is that we got to find a basketball, by the way.

I refuse because there's nothing less satisfying than making a shot in a hoop that doesn't have a net.

Did you, it occurred to you that maybe a tournament game was just played here and they snipped the net off?
