Today we're listening to episode 227

and I'm talking with Julie Stackhouse.

Julie is a well-known runner in the Jacksonville area.

And after I finished the Donna Half Marathon the other weekend,

I had several people come up to me and say hello and also tell me that Julie Stackhouse was their coach

and I should definitely interview her on the podcast.

So I have made that happen.

Julie has a Half Marathon PR of 116.54,

a marathon PR of 253.17 and she's also done a full Iron Man in 10 hours and 17 minutes.

She started running at a very young age,

one several state titles, 16 to be exact in track and cross country growing up in high school.

And has really been a lifelong runner.

She went on to coach at several colleges and now she coaches runners in the Jacksonville area

through her business Stackhouse Fitness.

Last year at the Donna Marathon in 2019,

she actually was attacked by a dog on the course during the race.

And she's going to talk to us a little bit about that in this episode and talk about coming back from that

and the post-traumatic stress that she has endured and come back from over this last year.
