Today you're listening to episode 215 and I'm talking with Emma Cortez.

Emma is a 242 marathoner.

She's about to run her second marathon trials this February where she is hoping to better her place from when she ran in 2016 and placed 39.

She just finished her master's degree in early childhood education and is currently waiting to hear back from PhD programs that she's applied to.

So she has a lot of things going on in her life and she's still running really fast.

She first came to my attention when I interviewed her boyfriend Noah Dratty for the second time on the podcast and I realized how amazing it would be to have her on this show as well.

So Noah is from Indianapolis and they were in town for the holidays and so we got to do this interview in person which is something that I really want to start doing more of in 2020.

I have a big goal to do more in person interviews. So we got to cozy up on the couch and have this conversation face to face.
