We are going to talk in a moment about Georgia not exactly being all that impressed of being

ranked number two last night by the college football playoff selection committee.

We're going to get there here in a little bit.

But I want to build to that by saying this, that just because Georgia doesn't seem to be

all that interested one way or another in its CFP ranking does not mean that Georgia doesn't have the

goal of winning a championship on its mind or perhaps a stronger word than gold. Do you remember

what Kirby said at the end of the Florida game in his post-game press conference going back to

a Saturday? Talk about the idea of being on a mission. We use that word. I guess it was on Monday

show, I guess. The fact that Georgia is on a

mission here, maybe it's yesterday. These days sort of run together here a little bit.

But Georgia's on a mission. Now, the way we describe that mission is go for three and 23, but ultimately,

however you describe it, the goal here when the season is done is to win a third straight

national championship and stay on the course in order to be able to do that. Now, the next phase of all that kind of begins on Saturday with Missouri. Now, we have had this stretch of game circled for a long time. We sort of knew that this was a weird schedule for Georgia. There wasn't the big fun non-conference game to kick off the season. There wasn't really a lot going on in September and October. Georgia didn't have the trip to Oklahoma that it was supposed to have. There was going to be kind of some relatively barren weekends of not much going on as it relates to Georgia, not really a part of the big conversation. But eventually we'd get there and eventually we'd get to games that matter for UGA. Well, we are here in that stretch now. It kicked off last Saturday against Florida

and obviously you loved everything about that. A, it's a rivalry win. There's always some value in

that. Anybody who understands Dog Nation understands how important that is for UGA fans,

how important that is for UGA coaches and players,

and you savor that.
