Fame. Here's your host, Brandon Adams. Of course, all of you are very well aware that I am a big Georgia football fan. That's what we do the show the way we do, you know, kind of a fan conversation, me facilitating it, you hopefully participating in it. We have a good time doing that. But in addition to being a Georgia football fan, I'm also just sort of a big sports fan in general. A lot of you know that, you know, grew up just liking all sports. Still do. I focus on Georgia for a profession, but from a pastime standpoint, I've always just kind of liked sports and follow all the sports stuff. And last night was kind of a significant moment in sports because of the passing of Bobby Knight. Now listen, Coach Knight was not everybody's cup of tea and everybody's flavor. I totally get that. And honestly, it's not really my point to bring him up as a way of saying one thing or another about, you know, what he was or what he wasn't. I mean, I think the eulogies on him will kind of reflect all of that here right now. But he was certainly a pivotal figure in sports history. None of us can deny that. And in a lot of the

remembrances of night, one thing sort of popped up that I was incredibly fascinated by. And I'm going to

use this, not so much to talk about Knight or even to talk about the person that Knight is talking about,

but to actually set us up to talk about Georgia football here. Because I think when you go back and look at the

past in sports, you are seeing sort of a blueprint template of how perhaps a lot of media types

are potentially making a mistake as it relates to Georgia here right now this year and perhaps

to a certain degree about Georgia over the course of the last

few years there as well. So let me start with something that seemingly has nothing to do with Georgia

and eventually we're going to work our way to Georgia on this particular discussion. So Bobby Knight

passes away. A lot of folks kind of sharing certain things about night and there's a guy named

Aaron Torres who covers college sports and you know does a lot of folks kind of sharing certain things about night. And there's a guy named Aaron Torres who covers college sports and, you know, does a lot of media stuff. And he shared a

clip of night that I don't know that I've ever seen before. It was night around the time of like

the 84 Olympics. This is prior to Michael Jordan ever playing an NBA game. It's important

to understand this.

This is before Jordan ever suited up for the Chicago Bulls, before he won his first MVP,

before he won his first NBA title of which he won six, before he even played his first game.

I guess, though, what Jordan wons hadn't even, you know, come out yet.

This is before all of that. This is as Jordan

was finishing his career at North Carolina, participating in the 1984 Olympics, and yet Bobby Knight,
