No, it's not about that.

It's reading the Bible as an experience and a relationship.

Now you say, what the heck does that mean?

Okay, I don't blame you, but our guest is Diana Butler Bass.

And she's done a lot of thinking on her own journey of faith about the importance of the Bible,

which she thinks is very important as do we.

And what it means to read it well.

And the idea of reading the Bible as an experience and a relationship, those are just buzzwords.

But it's a way of talking about, I guess, an intimate relationship with the Bible that Diana describes as basically love.

And not a clinical sort of textbook that you memorize versus that sort of lock you into ways of thinking,

but more of a relationship that grows and changes over time.

And I just, you know, Jared, in my experience, I know that resonates with me,

but I know what it resonates with a lot of people out there who are just genuine, authentic Christians trying to make sense of life

and going through, you know, life with all its ups and downs and pains and triumphs.
