clarified their purpose.

I was in a conversation recently about systems and how great performers and great teams

stay consistent.

And the more we talked, the clear something became.

Every great system begins with the same thing.

Not effort, not discipline, not talent, but purpose.

Before you design the habits, before you track the behaviors, before you measure the results,

you have to answer one question.

What is this system built to produce?

Because purpose begins, because purpose defines and determines everything that comes next.

It determines the actions you choose to take.

It determines the constraints you create to execute those actions.

It determines how you design those actions for the system. Because without purpose, you are going to

drift. Your system, your process is going to drift. That's just how it is. That's just part of life.

You might work hard, but you're not working in the right direction if you don't have purpose of your system.

But when your purpose is clear, everything else starts to align. Your daily behaviors become

more obvious. The decisions you make become easier.

In fact, you tend to eliminate decision making.

Your system becomes more focused.
