And in this past episode or issue, rather, I talked about before and after questions, a simple

exercise that parents can do with their sports children, with exercise that parents can do with their sports

coaches and leaders of any kind could do this with somebody before and after some kind

of performance iteration. It could be before a meeting, before a game, before a tournament,

and then after whatever you went to, they closed a loop. And so essentially it works like this.

We'll use it in the context of parents and children. Before your child's next practice or game,

you want to ask questions. Now here are three

examples of questions. It doesn't have to be these questions, but here are three examples.

What do you want to get better at today? How do you want to be a better teammate today?

And what kind of attitude and effort do you want to bring today? It can be one question, two questions, three questions,

your own questions, but you want to direct the questions towards things that matter. Really important

things, attitude, effort, preparation, the kind of teammate they are. Okay, so you ask those in the very

beginning before the practice or game starts. And then the magic happens.

After the game or practice or tournament or whatever it may be, you follow up with the questions that you asked.

And then you say on a scale of one to seven, seven being the best or being great, how well did you do what you said you're going to do?

Going back to those initial questions or question, how on the scale of one to seven,

how well did you do what you said you were going to do?
