times before on this podcast, but I haven't

really delved into specifics. The history of abortions and Mormonism. And I know I've done

some podcasts on this before, but we've been talking about sort of the ethics and the politics

around it, but not really the history. And honestly, listeners out there, this subject deserves

an entire episode dedicated to the subject because this really is a hidden history right

below the surface. And I don't think it would take that long to excavate it. There is, like,

so much to be discovered still. All you need to do is go to the archives and start

searching for herbs like blue coash and squabines, tansy, catnit, thyme, horse mint, rue, penny

royal, cedarberries, search for tinctures and confinement and pesiree and you'll be surprised how the history of abortion

in Mormonism surfaces in plain sight because as we'll discuss here today abortions have always always

always existed in every culture and climate um it's in every community it It's a constant. It's existed everywhere.
