Issa is a longtime organizer for the rights of queer and trans immigrants. And in this episode,

Issa and Ozzy and I talk about the past, present, and future of the campaign to end trans detention,

and the best ways to support these efforts.

Trans folks need to show up powerfully, and not just in the courts, and not just during

legislative sessions.

We also talk about managing organizer burnout and Survivor's guilt, and about watching trans

U.S. citizens talk about fleeing from the U.S. as other folks are trying to flee to the U.S.

and also, Issa tells us about some kind of secret meeting with the Department of Homeland Security.

At the time, it was off the record, and it was not publicized and not really talked about.
