What's up guys? So today on the podcast, we have a friend of mine named Dion Thompson. Dion is a black belt up in Ohio.

You know, when you recently, Eugene and I were kind of going through and just thinking about who do we want to talk to as far as the Jiu-Jitsu world.

And there are people that like I want to talk to, you know, that are like big name, superstars and stuff like that.

And then there's people that like I like talking to either because I like their game,

their style.

And I just want to talk to him about jih Tjitsu.

And there's also people that I just genuinely like chatting with.

And Dion was one of those guys where I met him the first time at this like seminar that we were both do,

uh, both participating in, right?

It was this big uh seminar and i was like this is just a cool

dude it's just like one of those dudes were instantly you start chatting with each other and he's just

a cool dude to hang out with and so i figured we'd have him on the podcast so that i could do that

again and um because again sometimes the podcast can be a simply a a thing to scratch my own itch

people want to talk to and then also, kind of figure out

more about him because he's one of the old school black belts. And by old school, I mean like

guys in the U.S. who started in like their late 90s to early 2000s. And all of those guys have

interesting stories about where they came from and how they got into it. You know, it's not the

thing. I just started training when I was a kid and whatever.

It's like they had already basically lived their young life and then they were getting

into it, you know, and they're like either 20s or 30s and it's always interesting to see

that stuff and kind of what they've gone through.

So some cool stuff to talk about.
