Hello everyone, welcome to the Stephen King cast, one man's musings on the works of Stephen King.

Each week I will review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King and the chronological order of publication,

and in this episode, I will be reviewing Cat's Eye.

The reason I am reviewing this episode right now is because it, uh, Katz Eye, the horror anthology,

includes two segments that are linked to Stephen King's original short story publication,

Night Shift. And because Quitters Inc. and the ledge are two of

those stories that are included here, I have grouped this episode with the rest of the

Night Shift reviews. So just a little note about this particular episode originally

aired in August 27th 2017.

I'm re-recording this introduction in January of 2026 because I'm reordering all of the podcast

episodes to like I said be organized around the original source material from the books.

So the reason I say this is because throughout the course of this particular episode,

you are going to get some dated information.

So, for instance, at the time, Castle Rock hadn't become a show yet. Castle Rock

is now a show that has come and gone. It did two seasons on Hulu. I was lucky enough to be able to talk with one of the showrunners, Dustin. But right now at the time of the original publication, I was reviewing and discussing and talking about some of the casting.

I talked about some of the early buzz around the upcoming It adaptation, which again, at this time, it was August 27th.

It would come out in September of that same year, so just about a month.

So there was just a lot of buzz and a lot of stuff to look forward to related to Stephen King.

So I just wanted you to be aware.

So you had the proper context heading into this episode.

So I'm excited to talk about Katzai.
