Summary

Thank you for joining us for another episode of the Low Carb MD Podcast. Joining the show today are Drs. Jason Fung and Doug Gwinn. Dr. Gwinn is a Family Medicine doctor who practiced for thirty-five years until his retirement. He found himself with kidney disease, hypertension, and metabolic disease. Due to his discovery of Dr. Fung, he has been able to improve his kidney function and overall health by implementing fasting and the ketogenic/carnivore diet.

In this discussion, we discuss the potential benefits of a carnivore diet for back pain and kidney function, the relationship between lifestyle decisions and likelihood of developing kidney disease, ways in which the current medical system is broken, and Dr. Gwinn's personal experiments and experiments with the keto and carnivore diets.
