Hey there, folks. It's Luke. Hope you're having a great Labor Day. We certainly are up here in

the small maritime village of Port Towns in Washington. I know Old Andy Walsh is having a great

Labor Day down there in Los Angeles, California, where he hangs his Fidel Castro style green,

Sandinista hat. I know Castro was not a Sandinista. I'm mixing my leftist Latin American political

movements, but I'm allowed to do that, guys, because it's Labor Day, and we're all on vacation.

Since we're on vacation, what we're going to play for you today is a show recorded a few

Labor Days ago. It was at Bumber Shoot. When we did a live TBTL and we had our friend Kumail Nanjiani

stop by. At that time, less famous Kumail Nanjiani. Now he's Mr. Big Time. He's on, of course,

Silicon Valley and Port Landia. He has a new show that's going to be out soon, which is an adaptation

of his nerd melt show. He does an LA. We've got Rap Master Maurice stopping by, and one of my

favorite bands, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. That's all coming up here on the show. Today,

classical forms of music, actually growing and flowering faster than if there was no music at all.

Conversely, more dissonant forms of music, like heavy metal, can actually retard growth,

and even kill the plant. Of course, humans are much more complex than plants, but it still makes

one wonder what this type of music might be doing to us. TBTL!

When I listen to a really good song, I start nodding my head like I'm singing, yes,

to every beat. Yes, yes, yes, this rock. And then sometimes I switch it up like, no, no,

no, don't stop rocking. Rock and roll don't come from your brain, come from your crotch.
