I'm Martin yelling, he's Tom Williams, and this is Marathon Talk. Wow what a week this week's show is slightly different. It's a bit of a Virgin

London Marathon special. We've got Tom's Stella Race Report. We've got some mini interviews with marathon talk

listeners that we managed to catch up with at the Expo and we caught them again

after the race. We find out how marathon talk interviewee Steve We got on. We speak to our own new world record holder.

Plus we catch up with UK top marathon at Mari Amuichi about her race.

Anyway, let's get started.

Well, of course this is going to be kind of a VLM special and there are a few things that we'd like to get across just

by way of housekeeping right at beginning. So from this week normal service

will resume regards emails. I know we've got kind of a queue of emails waiting to be

answered and responded to but we've both been so busy being away in London and then doing London then coming back and all that.

So we've kind of put that on the back burner for a minute, but normal play will resume next week with that, so be patient.

From next week, the show is going to be released on Wednesday daytime.

Okay, there's a slight difference and it just makes it logistically a lot easier, a lot more

straightforward for us to do that editing and recording and publicising process.

If we do it on Wednesday day at some point during business hours on UK time for our listeners abroad.

So yeah, so that's the difference with that and then finally this

Now just before we get started with Virgin London Marathon of course it wasn't the only

marathon this past weekend it was there was also a race in Hamburg.

Wilfred Kijen and Sharon Cherop took the 25th edition of this race and they were both Kenyan.

The man ran 2009-22, the girl ran 22838.
