Each week I'll review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King and this week I am diving back into one of Stephen King's earliest publications,

the 1978 short story collection, his first collection of short stories, Night Shift.

Now I just said that I make my way through the chronological order of publication.

Technically, I have done that, with the exception of just one or two books.

I haven't yet reviewed Blaze and I haven't read The Colorado Kid.

I have reviewed each of his short story publications, but I didn't necessarily review each of the short stories within the publications.

So what I will be doing over the next few weeks, I will be going back into Stephen King's works throughout the decades and reviewing the short stories that I didn't get to the first time around.

So what I'll be doing today, I'll be looking at the Night Shift collection, and I will be just giving a deep dive analysis into each of the short stories.

I didn't review the first time around, so that's very exciting.

But first, before we get any further, there's some things that I would like to share with all

of you, the first of which is exciting news that we have a movie coming out, appropriate that I'm talking about it in this night shift

episode because the the short story upon which it was based was found in the pages of

night shift and that movie slash short story is one for the road.

So writer-director Josh Brooker has acquired the cinematic rights for One for the Road.

It's a dollar baby and he is currently working on it.

I've been in communication with Josh.

I'm very excited about this particular project.

I believe that we're going to see a really great adaptation from this.
