Today we're listening to episode 157 and I'm talking with Camille Heron.

Camille just made headlines because she broke the 24 hour record on a track and the 100

mile world record on the track as well this past weekend at Desert Solstice.

Camille has been making waves in the ultra scene for a few years now though she's still

relatively new to the ultra world.

She was a longtime marathoner, she's a marathon PR of 23714 and she transitioned to ultra

as back in 2015.

Since then she has been making waves and doing amazing things, she won the Comrad's

marathon in 2017 which is a huge deal in South Africa and all over the world.

This is a 56 mile race that she ran.

705 pace with insane elevation.

Camille has her sights set on doing some big things in the ultra world that she hasn't

done yet.

She holds several world records though, the 12 hour world record on the track, the 24 hour

world record on the track and she is also the 100k champion.

Her and her team got a gold medal in the 100k championship so she's done a lot of really

cool things and I actually had the opportunity to meet Camille back in 2014 randomly at the

Carmel Marathon.

So it's been fun to know that I met her back in the day and then to see her kind of explode
