going to go away in a minute and we're going to bring on Rebecca but that phrase

biblical advice can get people into trouble. Yes. Because often we proof text and

take verses from the Bible out of context and so it sounds like we're saying something

biblical but what we're actually saying it does not reflect the heart of

Christ. Yeah so rather than seeing what Jesus wants us to do, we're having our own agenda of what we want people to do and then we prove it from the Bible and we bash people over the head with it.

Exactly. And that's a biblical often means. And we had a really good example of that.

A couple of weeks ago, John Piper on June 10th wrote a post and a podcast

on how a woman should respond to a harsh husband. and a live on this to look at the problems in his article and people really appreciated the

Facebook live and asked if we could put it on the podcast so I'm actually gonna have

Rebecca on with me and we will show we will post the Facebook live and then after that I have a

Well, he didn't use the word abusive, but we're going to talk about why it did apply to abusive

marriages.

her husband was harsh and she did say that he wasn't physically abusive but that he was harsh.
