Hey, uh, welcome to the show. This is Greg Fitzsimmons.

0:28.5

Alison Rosen. So my voice went a little high on that one. Oh, that's better. How's it going, Greg?

0:38.3

It's going pretty good. I am realizing that in life to compare is to despair. And I think when

0:46.8

you're in the entertainment industry, it's very easy to fall into the trap of looking at how

0:51.4

some people around you were doing and thinking, why aren't I doing as well? And then you got to stop

0:56.6

and go, hey, wait a minute. There are starving people who don't even get to shower and are in

1:04.6

war torn countries. And then I think those are the people I need to get to listen to my podcast.

1:12.0

Yes. Go outside. You live in beautiful Venice. Go outside. Look at the people living on the sidewalk,

1:19.2

Greg. Yes. Make yourself feel better. Look at the less fortunate and use them to make

1:25.0

yourself feel better. That's a little bit of a holiday spirit. Right. And there are there are

1:37.4

who's maybe got like a suitcase with him. And you're like, okay, that guy might be homeless. And

1:45.2

that makes you feel better about yourself. But then there's days where you look at him and you go,

1:50.0

yeah, but look at that full head of hair he's got. And look at that beautiful dog and my dog

1:54.7

died. And then you got to, you got to dig deeper. And then you got to go like, I got to get online and

1:59.7

look at some Pakistani kids. Right. I need to find those, those people that live in trash heaps.

2:08.1

That's the problem with feeling bad is that you get that first hit or rather, that's the problem with

2:15.0

when someone else's misfortune reminds you how good you have it. You get that first hit and then

2:21.1

you need something bigger. You got to feed the beast. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. You become addicted to

2:28.6

the misfortune of others. Yeah. That's how people become true. Good Samaritans. Right. Pity.

2:35.9

I mean, before long, you're out there saving people. You've saved a number of people. I've saved

2:41.7

three people in my life. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Hold on a second. I saved
