Hey guys, my name is John Kim. I'm a licensed therapist and life coach putting

self betterment into a shot class because let's face it who's got that much time

these days. I come unpolished, unrehearsed, on purpose.

There's two ways to look at life. You could look at life as a random series of events and you were

randomly born into this world and go through life basically self-protecting yourself because as you

grow up you realize people want to hurt you and there's a lot of obstacles and it's hard to make

money and it's nearly impossible to do what you love while making money and you see

people around you with what you want. You see people around you who

are getting successful. You see people around you who are not good people getting

successful.

And so you kind of give up on this idea

that good people or good things happen to good people and you just survive. You know you wake up every day

you do your thing. If something good happens it's a coincidence.

And if something bad happens, it's expected.

And you assume people are going to hurt you and talk shit about you and not like you and you keep

drifting through life trying to be happy holding your head up high but

nothing good ever comes and you just realize that life is surviving.

Life is just trying to get your head above water and going as long as you can until you go.

Basically shit and eat and sleep and that is life right?

The other way to think of life is that things are not random and I gotta say by the

way most of my life or I would say not most of my life I would say maybe half I thought I thought of life in that way what how I just described that was my my mindset. That was my attitude. That was my energy.
