very special birthday shout out. Happy birthday, Luke of Luke and Indy. I hope you have the best day

ever. I hope I get to meet up with you guys in Salem at the end of the year. I hope you just have

the best day. Love you guys. I should have known you were an October baby. Like that makes so much sense.

I feel like I should be as well. I am living the dream right now, though, because last night it was

like 60 degrees. I had my windows open. I had a fall candle lit. I watched Halloween. Like,

this is just my time to shine, guys. I love this month. But don't worry, in typical New England

fashion, it's about to be 80 degrees again like tomorrow. So that's unfortunate, but I

enjoyed it for a couple days. Now, today we're talking about a movie that I love to watch every

Halloween season. And this one is incredibly nostalgic for me because I was a fan of these books growing up.

And we're talking about scary stories to tell in the dark, which the

film came out in 2019. And it's based on a bunch of the scary stories from scary stories to

tell in the dark. Yes, if you're watching the video episode, I'm holding them up. I do have them.

I used to have them. I still have my original somewhere. But when this movie came out, I like re-bought them because I just, I felt like I needed to have them. I still have my original somewhere. But when this movie came out, I like

episode to be a video episode because the creature design in this movie, I love so much. A lot of them

are pulled right from the book. So I want to show you that. So if you guys aren't watching the

video episode and you want to, it's on YouTube or Spotify. But yeah, so scary stories to tell in the dark. This is a PG-13 movie. So I do say if you have kids and you're trying to get them into horror, I think this is a great movie to show them this season because, yeah, some of the creature designs can be a little creepy so like obviously watch it first and depending on your kids age like

you be the judge of the creature designs can be a little creepy. So, like, obviously watch it first. And depending on your kid's age, like, you be the judge of that. But I do think this is a great movie to really get your kids involved. And, like, if you read scary stories to tell them the dark as a kid, I don't think that's any different than your kids watching the movie personally, but I don't have kids. So what the fuck do I know? But I love the way that this movie pays homage to the stories, because it creates one big story by putting all of the little stories together. Because in scary stories to tell them the dark, like, they don't all go together. They're all separate little short stories, but this movie makes them all come together. And honestly, I love the way it does it.

I think this is a super fun movie. I watch it every season. So without further ado, let's jump into it.
