fucking time to shine bitches it is fucking Halloween month it is the best month of the year i thrive in

october especially as a new englander like this is when the weather starts to get crisp. Oh my God. This is my time to fucking shine. Also, welcome to a 10 episode month, because the way that this falls, the first is on a Wednesday, the 31st is on a Friday. So we got 10 episodes. It was meant to be. It's just meant to be. We're going to be spooky as fuck together. I'm so excited. This is the first time

I'm filming an episode in a long time because I was gone in Texas at Fantastic Fest for like 10 days,

11 days or something like that. I had a fucking blast. It could not possibly ever live up to last

year where I literally met Mike Flanagan and Kate Siegel and hung out with the Terrifier 3 crew

in the VIP section on the same night. That was peak. That was like peak life experience.

Nothing could ever live up to that. But I had an absolute fucking blast. Highlights of the fest,

number one, first and foremost, if you guys follow my friend screenwriter Nick on TikTok.

You're familiar with him, but he's a screenwriter, as you can tell, by his username, and him and his fiance

Kirby are both screenwriters. And they had a fantastic pitches contest at Fantastic Fest this year.

And they went through like thousands and thousands of applications. And they got five people to come and pitch a movie in front of a panel of judges, one of which was Barbara Crampton, a fucking legend and a queen.

And they won. And they won $100,000.

They won funding for their movie and it gets to premiere at Fantastic Fest next year.

And when I tell you, like, yes, the whole Mike Flanagan thing was like

peak life, this came pretty fucking close. I can't lie. Like watching my friend win that and like

being surrounded by all my friends as this was happening and like knowing that we get to come back

next year and see the premiere of this movie. It's fucking surreal. It was insane. Favorite movie of the

festival that you guys need to be on the lookout for? Obsession by Curry Barker. One of my favorite horror movies of the year. I don't know if it's going to get a wide release this year, but it premiered at TIF, which was like the week before Fantastic Fest. And after it premiered, it was so good that Focus Features bought it for $15 million
