I have had a blast doing this. I actually can't wait to do another one because there are still so many

great movies that we need to cover that are Stephen King adaptations. And today, we are ending

with one that actually was originally a Bachman novel, which I actually don't know if I've

explained this throughout this month. I can't, I simply can't remember, but

Stephen King started writing under a pseudonym back in the 70s, which his pseudonym was

Richard Bachman. Eventually it was found out. So now all of his books have, you know, Stephen King

writing as Richard Bachman. But the Long Walk is a Richard Bachman book. Rage is a Richard

Bachman book. The Running Man is a Richard Bachman book. Rage is a Richard Bachman book. The Running Man is a

Richard Bachman book. And as is thinner. So today we're talking about thinner, which the novel was

published in 1984. And the film adaptation was done about 12 years later. So in 1996, we got the

film adaptation of thinner. Is it a great adaptation?

I'm not going to say it's in top 10. I'm not going to say it's one of the best. This is one where

I read the book and it horrified me on such a deep level. And then I saw the movie and I was like,

oh, this could have been done a lot better, honestly.

There's just something about the book that is genuinely so devastating.

just when you think you can't be shocked by anything, you read the end of thinner. And it's like, what the fuck? Like, it's just, it just hits so differently. And like the ending of the movie is not too different, but it's just, I don't know, it just hits a lot harder the way that it's written in the book.
