Hello and welcome back to another episode of the year of Wigame podcast. I'm your host, Lindsay,

and today I'm bringing on my friend Christine, who we're going to, this is part one of a two-part

interview with Christine and a member of the, a faithful member of the FLBS. But before we get into that interview, I want to introduce Christine because Christine is sort of

a bridgemaker.

She's the one that has a very unique opportunity to have an end with the FLDS community right now.

And she's generous enough to sort of share that insight with all of you.

But let's talk about who Christine is first.

Christine, can you say hello? Hey, hi, everybody. So Christine, tell us, tell us who you are and why

you're involved with the FLDS. Okay, so let's see. I'll just tell you my story really quickly.

I was raised in Michigan. I was searching for a religion when I was a teenager

and I ended up finding the Mormon church and essentially converting myself because there were no

missionaries in our area. So I was baptized on the day of my 18th birthday because my parents were

completely against it. And I loved it. I loved the church.

It gave meaning to my life and made me very happy.

So I became a missionary.

And I loved that.

I broke tons of missionary records.

And when I was done with my mission,

my mission president asked me to write a book about how I was able to get in so many doors. So I did.

And then I wrote also a book called Turn Your Little Ones into Book of Mormon with kids.

And then, you know, I was married in the temple, married for 13 years, had four children, very devout, very devout testimony, then I divorced because

things didn't work out like I thought they would, you know, living a wholesome Mormon life.
