Hi again, your polygamy listeners. This is Lindsay Hansen Park, the host of the podcast.

You know, I wanted to give an opening for this because I have spoken to many faithful Mormons, Mormon fundamentalists, people from all over the Mormon spectrum.

0:16.3

But this interview is very unique for me. I, for the first time, have talked to a faithful member of the

0:23.1

FLDS Church. For those who don't know, the FLDS Church is notoriously, I guess you could use a word

0:30.3

secretive, but really they are a very isolated group. They stay away from outsiders. As you will hear

0:37.3

from the woman in this podcast,

0:39.6

she told me that they do this to avoid being in large groups. They don't like to gather in large

1:32.0

I think it's an important story to tell, though. It's a story that's not being told, at least not

1:36.8

publicly, even if it's a story that many of you grew up hearing. I think it illustrates the

1:42.5

perspective of a faithful Mormon fundamentalist, a faithful FLDS woman,

1:48.8

and that story needs to be told.

1:51.5

It will highlight some things and give you some perspectives of maybe why choices are being

1:56.6

made the way that they are.

1:58.3

And you might be frustrated at times thinking, well, maybe, you know,

2:01.9

they just don't know the truth or they don't know my history. But I'm grateful that they took the leap of
