Hello and welcome to Sociology 101 Live. We are going to start just answering some questions

with regard to Romans chapter 8 versus 28 through 30. Some of you may have watched already the

video I released several months ago. That was kind of a shorter kind of encapsulation of my

perspective over Romans chapter 8 versus 28 through 30.

I don't, my perspective, as many of you know, is not one of the most predominant

perspectives in the world, though I think it's starting to make a resurgence a little bit.

Thanks to some of the views that we've had here and the people talking about it more often.

It's a view that's been

kind of overshadowed by the normal Calvinism versus Armenianism debate and a very westernized

singularity focus, individualistic focus, because we as Westerners tend to think of things in the

individual perspective. So when we hear the word you, we think you,

the individual, not you all, the group, even though the word you can obviously be used in plural

or as a singular. And so we tend to think about the individual as Westerners, whereas other cultures,

especially the first century Judaism's of that day in the first century often taught more communal or corporately

than the way we typically think.

And we even have quotes from Calvinists who confess and admit that that's just a fact of the

matter.

That's not really a statement being made from one such a logical worldview in opposition to

the other,

it's simply a statement of fact.

That's just the way they would more likely read things.

And because of that, I think that the westernized perspective of Romans chapter 8,
