playing part of an old Mormon Expression podcast about Mountain Meadows Massacre today.

Mormon Expression is owned by the Whitefield's Education Foundation and John Larson. And I helped organize a panel and we're

going to cross post the podcast. We've had it cross posted on the FMH site forever. So I'm just

going to re-broadcast it. But it will show up in this feed so you can hear about it. What I'm going to do

today is start talking about several massacres. I've been doing

a lot of research lately on crowd psychology, mob psychology, memetic violence, and group violence

and group thinking. And because Mormonism is so tribal in so many ways, I think that it's an

appropriate thing to understand the context of Mormonism,

to understand the idea of how plural families shape group dynamics and how it translates to oppressed

groups. So we're going to be doing a series of probably three episodes of the massacres that have occurred in Mormonism's name. So it's going to be

unpleasant. It's going to be a little, a lot violent, and it might be hard to listen to. So if you
