Summary

It doesn't even have to be a Monday to have a case of the "Mundays"! Some days we just feel sluggish and unmotivated. This short practice will invigorate your mind and body, and connect you to the purpose in your work. Whether it's the impact you are contributing to through your organization, or the support for yourself and your family, there's a reason you showed up. This practice will ask you to bring your purpose front and center as you allow physical movement to shift your energy towards a new relationship with your work. The movement focuses on elongating the side bodies (known to boost confidence by lowering cortisol and increasing testosterone) and inviting in new energy through backbends. Welcome in a new experience of work!

And we're going to go ahead and get started in standing.

So you can move your seat back, come up to standing, and we'll start with some sun salutations.

So starting with hands at heart center.

Take a full breath to ground.

Inhale.

Sigh it out.

On the next inhale, reach the arms up and overhead.

Exhale, cactus the arms and lift up through the heart.

Inhale, reach high.

And exhale, draw hands to heart center.

Finding a full breath right here, inhale.

Again, this inhale reaches the arms up high.
