So I believe that the point of this life must not be perfection, but growth.

And if we want to drill that down a little bit further, I believe that that means rather

than becoming spotless, the point of this life probably is our spots.

The point is not all the stuff that we're performing with exactness so that we can't get any better at it. It's all the things that we're performing with exactness so that we you know we can't get

any better at it it's all the things that we don't do perfectly it's not our iron

rodness that pulls us forward it's our falling but getting up anyway and starting again. That's where the magic is.

Because you and I are constantly hearing things here and there,

and I'm like, wait, what?

We, do we not believe our own stuff?

Like we totally believe in repentance and starting over and and this doesn't jive with it?

So do we that's that's the question I don't know I can think of a couple of reasons why we wanted to have this conversation

for one thing you and I sometimes hear difficult stories about the ways that you know people

who have repented of past transgressions continue to bump into those later in their church lives.
