Who do you think is the most recognizable, most widely known mountain biker? Well, if we're talking about

who's going to be recognized at a trailhead, you could make a strong case for it being a man named

Seth Elvo, who lives in Asheville, North Carolina.

You might know him as Seth from Berm Peak, previously known as Seth's bike hacks.

Now, Seth has amassed 2.38 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, as well as another

800,000 subscribers on his side channel, Berm Peak Express.

He's done this by creating videos on everything from trail building, bike maintenance,

strange products, and even RC trucks.

I sat down with Seth for a bit to chat about how we ended up on YouTube, what it's

like creating videos all the time, building his own

bike park, traditional media versus YouTube, and all sorts of other things.

So I think that a lot of riders know you from your YouTube channel that has like almost

2.4 million subscribers, which is pretty wild.

We're going to get to that at some point later on in the show.

But first, we do have to talk about how it started, what you were doing before you started doing this and all that stuff.

So, Seth, what were you doing before you started the YouTube channel?

I was building websites and just managing people's IT infrastructure.

I was sort of like a remote consultant.

And I say I was a web designer or a web developer, but I was doing kind of everything.
