july happy end of shark month i hope you guys have enjoyed this as much as i have i hope you got to watch some

of shark week last week because i sure did other than that what did i watch last week that's new? I watched Bambi the Reckoning, which is the latest movie

in the Pooniverse slash like the twisted childhood universe, which is basically the movies that

are in public domain now. And like people are making horror stories out of them. It is the best

one out of all the Puneverse. Like it is surprisingly

serious for a killer mutated deer. And it actually, I fucking cried. I cried at the end of a

fucking Pooniverse movie. I still can't believe myself. And honestly, I very much recommend it.

Because like, where the other ones like Winnie the Pooh, Blood and Honey, Popeye,, like they're stupid and they're funny. Like, they're horror comedies. This is straight up a very serious fucking horror drama. Like, it is very intense. Other than that, by the time you guys are hearing this on Wednesday the 30th, together will be out. Together is my favorite movie of the year. I was lucky to see the world premiere of that one

back in March at South by Southwest. And nothing's beat it yet. Nothing has beat it. I'm so fucking excited for it to come out because I can't wait to watch it again. Especially if you're a body horror person. Like if you like body horror, you need to run to the fucking theater and see this one. I loved it. I think it is so good. It was like genuinely creepy at times. I'm so,

this week and I can't wait to go see it again. Now, today we're talking about not a body horror

whatsoever, but what is defined as a sci-fi action movie. And we're talking about the Meg and the Meg 2, the trench. And I actually really, really enjoy the first Meg. I just love a shark movie, right? I'm a fucking sucker for a shark movie, especially when it's about a Megalodon. Like there's something about that that's so fucking scary to me. I mean, I don't even have to explain that. A megaladon is fucking terrifying to everybody. I'm sure it's a 70 foot shark. What the fuck? That's not natural. But up until this point,

researching for this pod that this was based on a book. I had no idea that it was based on a book.

And it's a book from 1997. It is called Meg, a novel of deep terror by Steve Alton, came out
