Welcome to the podcast for episode 104 of Outlander The Gathering.

I'm Ronald D. Moore, executive producer and developer, the new Outlander television show,

and I'm here with my lovely wife and costume designer Terry Dresbach.

Hello and I'm here with the insane puppy Koolan who I'm trying to brush while I do this.

This is making snorting noises. There's also a crackling fire in the background and that's what please do not adjust your

podcast that is what you're hearing. There's no Scotch today because

recording this in the middle of a very rainy Scottish afternoon.

It could be scotch, but it is actually a diet.

And the smoking lamp is out.

All right, so the gathering. This was a big episode. We always talked about this in the

writer's room as being one of the one of the episodes that one of the stories in the

book that we would turn into an entire

episode by itself that said there's still a tremendous amount packed into this

episode not just the gathering of the McKinsey Clan but there's also the

for-hunting there's also the Boer Hunt,

because there's a lot going on into this story.

And it's kind of amazing that we were able to cram everything that takes place in this episode

into a one hour in television.

We had that brooch made. It's quite beautiful.
