And today, there's only two of us. I'm here with Henry Quinny, and we're recording in person

face-to-face in the Pink Bike office. I'm looking

at them right now, everybody. What a sight. What a site. So as you guys may or may not know,

our own Henry Quinny used to work as a World Cup mechanic and he's got stories, stories that

he's going to share with us today. Now, in a recent podcast,

he casually mentioned how one of his World Cup riders bent his direct mount stem and all this other

stuff. And I thought, we got to talk to this guy. We got to talk to this guy. So, Henry,

how long were you a World Cup mechanic for first? Well, that's it. I needed it for a couple of years.

So I always get a bit nervous, you know. I mean, I've kind of unintentionally, like, I never set out to work in the media.

I fucking tried to write a book of poetry and it all got well out of hand.

Did you actually?

No, but sort of, yeah, like I was writing a book

and it was meant to be a serious philosophical work and then every chapter

it just derailed into how shit I thought Ed Shearin's music was.

And that's not even a joke.

It was it really just,

that's the flavor it took.

And so I ended up doing this media thing. Obviously it's like at GMBN and now here it's like that's my that's my

credential right as a well-cut mechanic but listen I've worked with some really good mechanics and I really

respect to respect the craft of it. And so there were world-up mechanics and there were world-cut mechanics

like jac C. Schumelack and John Stout people that I've worked with who are like Sam Hill and
