Hey guys, welcome to episode one of the angry therapist podcast.

So here's the concept. I have been creating a dialogue about self-help, self-betterment,

and documenting my journey, sharing my story since 2011 and I wanted to do a podcast where it's

only 10 minutes and it's you know it's revelations its concepts it's sharing my story in a shot glass so if you guys prefer a wine glass you've come to the wrong place

I am unfiltered and I am unpolished on purpose and I practice transparency so I pull the curtain back and show you me.

So who am I? My name is John Kim and I'm a licensed therapist and a life coach.

And so let's just give you some broad strokes

of my story in case you've stumbled onto this

and you don't know who I am.

I went through a divorce about seven years ago and had to start all over. I had to shake my life Etch A Sketch. But the good news about shaking an Etch A Sketch, and if you don't know what an etch sketch is then you're very young

But the good news is you could start with the blank canvas you could start all over you could be

someone different you could go through your rebirth or a reconnection because I tell

people sometimes growth is about uniting or connecting with yourself again or for some the first time.

And so for me that's what I did.

I got really curious about me and who I was and where I was going and what I wanted etc and then I just

documented that through a Tumblr blog and I never did that for followers or for you know for it to be anything.

I just kind of needed a space to express myself.

And then what happened was I started to get a following on Tumblr

that turned into a full practice, started coaching thousands

of people online, and then offline I started to work in unconventional ways.
