Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua. Episode 1,992. Today we're talking about trust. Trust is one of the most important, if not in some cases, the most important thing when it comes to creating connections or a connection and building a relationship with other people.

And today we're going to talk about four pillars of trust. Authenticity, vulnerability,

transparency, and consistency. Authenticity is simply the real you. It's the best you.

You are bringing your authentic self to work to the team. You're not bringing

someone fake. You're not trying to act like somebody. Because if you're not bringing the real you,

it's hard to connect or trust that person. The people who are going to connect to you, the real you is, they can only connect to the

real you if you show up with that person every single day.

Number two is vulnerability.

A lot of people hear the word vulnerability and you think it's a weakness.

You don't want to show your cards.

You don't want to show your emotions.

But vulnerability is, it's openness. It's your ability to self-disclose, to acknowledge your mistakes, to be okay

with being imperfect, and to know that you're human. And so you can share that side of yourself.

Transparency is coming down to understanding that if you don't share information, people are going to come up with their own

answers to what you're doing. They're going to have their own stories and their own narratives and you're not going to like it.

So that's why it's important to keep people in the loop. Even if you don't have the answers, even if you

don't know what's going to happen, they're going to trust you because you're keeping them in

the loop of what's going on.

And lastly, is consistency.

You want to be able to act the same way over time.
