Good morning everyone. Welcome to the Increase Your Empy Podcast, episode 1,953. I want to read another excerpt from the book Relentless by Tim Grover. He says this, quote, years ago, I went with Michael to an FBI training facility where there's a practice range for the most elite sharpshooters in the world. And Michael, we're talking about Michael

Jordan. There's one guy out there alone, practicing his craft over and over. The target is

400 yards away. That's four football fields. He has to get in his truck, drive to the target,

set it up, and drive back to where we're standing. He gets his gun, looks in the scope, takes aim, one shot.

Then we get into the truck with him and drive back to the target.

He hit it dead in the center.

Michael asked him, how many people use that target range?

He said, just me. He was alone working on this one

shot over and over. So when people in the military need someone who can hit that kind of target,

they call him. No one knows what this guy does every single day to be this good people just know that he can deliver

results figure out what you do then do it and do it better than anyone else and then let everything

else you do build around that close quote i love this story i love it because it goes back to a phrase we said a long time ago

that people praise in public what you practice in private the hours the repetitions the days

the failures to get really really good at what you do, willing to be

bad in order to be good. What does that look like for you? What is the thing you need to keep

practicing, keep honing, even if you need to figure out how to do it, but what do you need to get

better at and sharpen every single day to be better at your craft?

Only you know what that is.

Now you've got to figure out how to sharpen it just like this sharpshooter we're talking about.
