| 0:00.0 | Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,954. And today we're talking about Michael Jordan once again. This one comes from the book Winning by Tim Grover. We've been discussing the book Relentless by Tim Grover, but he also wrote a book called Winning, which is really good. And I really liked how he was talking about Michael Jordan in this instance. |
| 0:25.5 | He says this, quote, |
| 0:26.6 | every time Michael warmed up in practice, he started with a chest pass, |
| 0:31.5 | the greatest player in the world working on a basic chest pass. |
| 0:36.6 | Why? |

| 1:29.5 | those be? And how often are you working on the basics? How often are you keeping it simple? |
| 1:36.3 | Sometimes we try to overcomplicate things and make it worse than it really, and harder than it |
| 1:40.6 | really needs to be. The second part is to remember that having a routine |
| 1:46.3 | will help you mitigate for unpredictability. You want to make sure that you have a routine |
| 1:51.2 | that will help you navigate the ups and downs and the unpredictable, unpredictable natures of life. |
| 1:58.1 | And sometimes when people are at their worst, it's because they don't have a routine. |
| 2:03.4 | They're just flying by the seat of their pants, trying to figure it out along the way. |
