Today's excerpt comes from the book, Napoleon and Modern War by Conrad H. Lanzah. And the quote goes like this.

10 people who yell make more noise than 10,000 who keep silent. I want to read that again. Ten people who yell

make more noise than 10,000 who keep silent. There are a lot of ways to take this principle,

but the one that I am thinking about in particular is the importance of telling your story.

The importance of raising your voice and saying what needs to be said.

You might offend some people, some people might disagree with you, but there may be a whole group of people who are inspired by it, who need to hear it, who will have the courage to achieve

their own dreams and pursue their own goals as a result of you telling your story.

Another quote that I've heard before is, closed mouths don't get fed.

And so my question to you is, what difficult conversations do you need to have?

In what places do you need to open your mouth and speak up? And some of it's not verbal. It's just

taking action. Where do you need to take action in your life? 10 people who yell make more noise

than 10,000 who keep silent.

And a corollary principle to this is to make noise with other people, to go do something together,

to speak up, to take action.

The world is filled with people telling you you can't do things.

You can't achieve a certain thing, but if you have your group, whether it be one, two, three, four people, you can do incredible things.

And so today, my invitation to you is to speak up, to tell your story, to take action, and don't let the silent majority cause you to not speak your truth and to not

lean into the difficult thing. And also, my question for you is, who is that person you need to

have a difficult conversation with? Who do you need to speak up to?

Reach out to that person. Make it happen. Take that burden off your shoulders. Take that weight

off your chest. Just have the conversation. Have a great day and we'll do it again tomorrow.
