Today we are talking about the cost of greatness. Everyone says, maybe not everyone. A lot of

people want to be great. They want to be successful to win the championship, to get the promotion,

to launch the business, to make X amount of dollars. Now, that's great. And who am I or who are we

to tell people what they can or cannot pursue? But oftentimes, when people describe the goal

that they want to achieve, the mountain they want to climb, many times they neglect to consider

what it's going to cost. Because it comes with the cost, every decision

comes requires a trade-off. The payment of the goal you're going to pursue comes in a form of time.

It comes in a form of effort. It comes in a form of attention. And in some cases, in many cases,

money. And so if you want to be great, you need to ask yourself, what is it going to cost?

If you want to achieve that goal, what is it going to cost you in terms of time, your attention,

your effort level? What are you going to need to sacrifice? Because you cannot

decide to pursue something great without pain for it, without pain, your blood, sweat, and tears.

Because there are people out there who are willing to pay that. There are people out there who

are willing to pay the price of greatness. Now, another point is if you want to cheat yourself,

if you want the easy route, that's also going to have a cost. You need to pause and consider that.

What is the cost of inaction? What is the cost of laziness? It might feel good right now,

but you're going to pay for it somewhere down the road. So you can either love it now and pay

for it later, or you can pay for it now and love it later. Loving it now is loving the freedom now,

loving the ease now, but you're going to pay for it later in a form of struggle,
