| 1:07.2 | But one thing that separates these trained elite athletes from the average person is that they have trained themselves to slow down. |
| 1:15.8 | They understand that in order to be your best, you need to be where your feet are. |
| 1:21.9 | You need to have a quiet mind and quiet thoughts when it matters most. |

| 1:29.9 | You train for it. |
| 1:31.3 | And one way to train for it is to slow down your breathing. |
| 1:34.9 | And so the exercise I want to invite you to do today is to set a timer for one minute on your |
| 1:40.4 | clock and see how few breaths you can take in one minute. |
| 1:45.3 | Now, it might be good to have a baseline measure. |
| 1:48.7 | Just see how many breaths you take in a minute, just normally. |
| 1:51.5 | Don't change your breathing. |
| 1:53.2 | Don't accelerate it. |
| 1:54.3 | Don't slow it down. |
| 1:55.2 | Just get a little baseline of how many breaths you take in a minute. |
| 1:58.8 | And then let's see how low you can get that number without holding your breath. |
