| 0:35.5 | every moment counted. And I watched him do something I'd never seen him do |
| 0:41.3 | before. I saw him stare down, he took a long deep breath, he got up on the |
| 0:46.6 | mound and he ended up performing incredibly well. I asked him after the game, |
| 0:50.3 | what did you do? It looked like you slowed the game down. And he taught |
| 0:54.0 | himself to do something. He said, when I start to feel my body and my mind get |
| 0:58.6 | stressed, I quiet my eyes. And I said, what do you mean you quiet your eyes? He says, |
| 1:04.6 | I pick something very small and I stare at it. And I make this situation small. |
| 1:10.3 | And in this case, he stared at a pebble, a tiny little pebble on the |
| 1:15.1 | pitcher's mound. He stared deeply at it while he was staring at it, he took a |
| 1:19.6 | long slow deep breath. And I said, well, why do you do that? He goes in order to |
| 1:24.5 | quiet my mind, I need to quiet my eyes and I need to quiet my breath. And they |
| 1:29.4 | helped me center myself, be where my feet are and to focus on the next pitch. |
| 1:33.9 | And he was very successful. And so whether you're a pitcher or a soccer player |
| 1:40.1 | or a student or corporate professional or a mom or a dad or whatever, if you |
