Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact podcast. I'm Justin Sua episode 1,760.

In 2001, I was walking down the dirt roads of a small pueblo, small little village in the beautiful

country of Nicaragua. Me and my buddy were walking down the street.

We didn't speak the language very well. We didn't know exactly where we were going, but we kind

had a little bit of an idea. We had no cell phone, no map. We just had our positive attitudes

and we're walking down the street, try to help people in need.

When all of a sudden, about 150 feet away, up pulls a bus, full of people, loud music,

and the bus driver was yelling at us saying, jump on, jump on, let's go, let's go.

I looked at my friend, he looked at at me and we just started booking towards the

bus we get on the bus the bus door closes and off we went we sit down we try to get past this

packed bus full of people with this loud music i look at him blaring in the background i look at him

and said where are we going and he looks at me he says i, I have no clue. You don't know? I said, no, I have no idea where this bus is going. Well, we are on this bus for the next 30 to 35 minutes until it stops. We get off, drops us off, drops us off in the middle of nowhere. We spend another hour, hour and a half waiting for a bus to take us back

to the city where we came, have you no really idea where we were going or where we came from?

And so we ended up making it back and I learned a very valuable lesson. If you don't know where

you're going, people will get you to go where they're going. And I think that's a lot like life. If you are just kind of

going about and kind of going by the waves of the sea and with no direction, you're going to be swayed

any way. And you're going to be taken way off direction when you don't have a direction.

And so I learned a very valuable lesson that

day. When you don't know where you're going, people will get you to go where they're going.

Now, my question to you is, where are you going? What is your North Star? What is your direction?

Now, you might not know your direction big picture wise, but what direction are you going today?

What direction are you going this week?
