And this is episode 1,692. Today's reminder is to not only focus on what you can control,

but also identify the things that you're trying to control, but you really have no control over.

Those are two things to take into consideration today.

What can I control?

And what do I have absolute no control over?

A lot of anxiety, a lot of frustration builds up and when you examine it, when you take a close to look at the things that you're frustrated about

and things that are bothering you, the things that are taking up that precious real estate in your

mind are things that you have

absolutely no control over.

Even if you wanted to do something about it, you can't.

And oftentimes these things are things that happen in the past, things that are going to happen in the future,

other people, environments, global situations,

complex systems that you have nothing to do with.

And so it's important to identify and be aware of those things that are irking you,

but you have no control over.

And to instead shift your attention to the things you absolutely have control over.

And as we've discussed before, that list is incredibly small.

It's incredibly tiny, the things that you actually have control over.

And so today, this Monday,

is a good reminder to identify two things. What are things you're frustrated about that you have no control over? And what are things you absolutely have control over? Focus on those things

and let go of everything else.
